Good morning and WELCOME! I’m happy to say that Day One of blogging is off to a good start :) Breakfast was kept simple this morning so I could spend more time updating Anna’s Eats before I start work for the day.  A bowl of Kix cereal with rice milk and a very juicy nectarine was this morning’s eats. A little dull for the first post I know, but it was quick and healthy!

I have been reading food and health blogs for over a year now and am exicted to finally share my own blog with you! I try to eat healthy MOST of the time and fit some physical activity into each day, even if it’s only a 15 minute walk during my lunch break at work. I think it’s a realistic approach and one that seems to work for me.  

I hope you will enjoy following me on “My Adventures of Living with Food Allergies.” I have some pretty funny/interesting stories to tell, but I’ll save those for another time.  If you have any of your own please share!!

Eating healthy can sometimes be tricky, but even more so when you have allergies which can somewhat limit your food choices. But it’s important to realize there are other options, you  just have to be a little creative. Sometimes it’s easier than others though. For breakfast I had rice milk instead of regular milk (which I am allergic too).  Rice milk does not contain all the protein cow’s milk has, but that can be made up for later in the day. I chose Kix for my cereal becase it’s offers some extra calcium that I often lack  in my daily diet due to having a dairy allergy. I have learned it’s all about knowing what other foods are out there that can be used as healthy alternatives.
